Dollar Tree…No Ordinary Store…

Shopping at the dollar store is one way I recommend to help you on your wealth-building journey. Make a list of common items you use such as:

  1. Toothpaste

  2. Toothbrushes

  3. Dish detergent

  4. Dishwasher pods

  5. Toilet paper

  6. Dish cloths

  7. Paper towels

These are just a few of the awesome items you can find in the dollar store. Set a budget and buy duplicates of all of the items you need. This way when you run out of something you don’t have to make a mad dash to the convenience store and spend three times the amount you would have spent for the item.

Toothpaste is a good example. You spend $1 for a tube of toothpaste at the dollar store but that same tube of toothpaste will cost you $2.99 at the local pharmacy or convenience store. Also, by always having excess, you will start to feel more in control of not just your money, but also, your life and your time too!

Managing your household expenses in this manner will allow you to see more money in your pockets–considering you don’t start spending what you save in other areas.

Finally, take the money you begin to save using this new method and put it into a savings or investment account.

Until next time…
